Mud Loggers
Multiple positions are available in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast region for experienced Mud Logging professionals.
Mud loggers are responsible for the safe, efficient performance, management, and administration of logging operations at a wellsite. They are responsible for collecting information with respect to depth, drill cuttings, and the recording and plotting of all accumulations of hydrocarbons.
A Degree in Geology or Petroleum Engineering is preferred. Communication and analytical skills are a must for applicants, as you will be advising customers in the logging operations, interpreting logging data, troubleshooting, and assisting with the decision-making processes.
Applicants must have a working knowledge of mud logging principles, including an understanding of Lag, properties of hydrocarbon gases, catalytic gas detection, gas chromatography, and descriptions of geologic samples.
Applicants must also be able to work with minimal supervision and promote and maintain good customer relations. Employees work daily 12 hour shifts for the duration of the well.
Some entry-level positions are available for recent graduates.
Salary based on experience and industry equivalence.
